Context
The BITE typeface was designed using Fontself Maker in Illustrator. It was exported as an OTF file and then translated into Processing to ensure a sensitive, transformative, and scalable type system.
Design
The brand name "BITE" serves as a symbolic element in the visual system. Its edges feature small characters that collectively form the phrase "synthetic biohybrid robot," resembling screws used in machinery. These elements subtly allude to the theme of "BITE." Additionally, the gentle application of gradients adds a soft, tactile quality to the geometric font, infusing it with a warm, dynamic energy that reflects the vitality of living biological materials.
Moduler Font
The font is delivered as a single package in OTF, TTF, and PDE file formats, with lowercase character sets and OpenType features to allow for full testing capabilities across all media types. Type below to try the font↓ (hover over the green box on web to view different styles)
